Hard Technology Achievements Trading Conference
To implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and all its successive plenary sessions, further deepen industry-education integration, advance the high-quality transfer and transformation of scientific and technological achievements, nurture and develop new quality productive forces, facilitate the construction of a modern industrial system and contribute to building a community with a shared future for mankind, the opening ceremony of the 2025 Belt and Road Hard Technology Achievements Trade Conference & Shaanxi Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Creation Conference was held at Western China Science and Technology Innovation Harbor on November 7.

This Hard Technology Achievements Trading & Shaanxi Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Creation Conference features one opening ceremony, 14 special sessions, 17 project roadshows and one achievements exhibition. Projects are sourced from 35 top-tier domestic universities and research institutions including Xi'an Jiaotong University and the Institute of Optics and Fine Mechanics, Chinese Academy of Sciences. The event has drawn innovative resources from 18 countries and regions across the globe such as the UK, South Korea and Russia, and initially established a hard technology ecosystem within the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative.




Li Jiuhong, Vice Governor of Shaanxi Province; Ye Niuping, Deputy Secretary of the Xi’an Municipal Party Committee and Mayor of Xi’an; Lu Jianjun, Secretary of the Party Committee of Xi’an Jiaotong University; Zhang Liqun, President of Xi’an Jiaotong University and Member of the Chinese Academy of Engineering; and other distinguished leaders attended the event.Also present were relevant officials from national ministries and commissions, brother provinces, municipalities directly under the Central Government, and cities in Shaanxi Province, as well as heads of provincial government offices and bureaus. The gathering also included university representatives from Shanghai Cooperation Organization member states and Belt and Road partner countries, delegates from sister universities, research institutes, enterprises and venture capital institutions, and representatives from more than 30 media outlets including Xinhua News Agency, China Daily and China News Service.

Formally Equity Investment Signing Completed

At the signing ceremony, Xi'an Jiaotong University entered into an important cooperation agreement with Xi'an Xitu Light Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd. The university acquired equity in the company by contributing a series of scientific and technological achievements including "a low-quality 3D facial recognition method, system, equipment and medium" as capital contribution.Professor Li Huibin from the School of Mathematics and Statistics of Xi'an Jiaotong University and Mr. Liu Yang, Chairman of Xitu Light, signed the investment agreement on behalf of both sides on site. This cooperation is not only a solid practice for Xi'an Jiaotong University to commercialize its scientific and technological achievements, but also infuses core technological driving force into the development of Xitu Light, ushering in a new landscape of university-enterprise win-win cooperation.
