The 19th China Biometric Recognition Conference (CCBR 2025) was successfully held in Nanchang. The conference was co sponsored by the Chinese Society of Image Graphics (CSIG), the Chinese Association of Artificial Intelligence (CAAI), and the Institute of Automation of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, co hosted by Nanchang Aviation University and Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics, and won the following awards: Biometric Identification Professional Committee (preparatory), Youth Working Committee, Visual Big Data Professional Committee IEEE Beijing Section Biometrics Council Chapter、 Co organized by the Nanchang Member Activity Center of the Chinese Society of Image and Graphics and the Jiangxi Public Safety Science and Technology Innovation Federation. More than 400 teachers, students, and enterprise experts from over 120 well-known universities, research institutes, and enterprises at home and abroad who are engaged in the theoretical and applied research of biometric recognition attended the conference.

As one of the "new infrastructures" in the digital economy era, biometric recognition has quietly penetrated into financial payments, urban security, smart classrooms, and even daily consumer electronics, becoming a key pivot to leverage industrial digitization and intelligent upgrading. Taking this opportunity, the "Biometric Identification Industry Application Forum" invites top forces from industry, academia, and research to set multidimensional topics around cutting-edge technologies, implementation scenarios, standard setting, and collaborative innovation, jointly drawing the growth curve and value blueprint for the next stage of the industry.

Chief Scientist of Xitu Zhiguang, Director of the Biometric Identification Center of the National Biosafety Evidence Base, and Professor Li Huibin from the School of Mathematics and Statistics at Xi'an Jiaotong University; Professor Zhong Dexing, a senior member of the Chinese Computer Society and the Chinese Society of Image and Graphics, and a member of the School of Automation at Xi'an Jiaotong University, was invited to attend the biometric recognition conference as the organizer of the forum. Hou Zongqing, Vice General Manager of Xitu Zhiguang and Off campus Master's Supervisor at Xi'an Jiaotong University, was invited to attend the conference and deliver a special report titled "Deep Integration of Industry, academia, research and application: Innovation of Xitu Zhiguang's 3D biometric technology and its global market landing", providing reference for the transformation of scientific and technological achievements.

Mr. Hou's report takes Xitu Zhiguang as a typical case and deeply analyzes its innovative path of deep integration of "industry university research application" in the field of 3D vision and biometric recognition based on the national research platform of Xi'an Jiaotong University. Systematically explained how Xitu Zhiguang transforms cutting-edge academic research achievements into 3D facial recognition and palm vein recognition products with high precision, high security, and high privacy protection characteristics, and successfully applies them to multiple vertical industries such as smart security, financial payments, and smart education, especially achieving breakthroughs in meeting the strict requirements of international markets for privacy and fairness. This report aims to provide reference models and experiences for the transformation of scientific and technological achievements in universities, innovation incubation of technology enterprises, and the export of Chinese high-tech products.

The successful holding of this conference not only builds an efficient bridge for dialogue and collaboration between academia and industry in the field of biometric recognition, but also comprehensively demonstrates the systematic innovation progress from theoretical breakthroughs to technological applications in this cutting-edge direction in China. The conference highlighted the vigorous vitality of interdisciplinary integration such as visual algorithms, artificial intelligence, big data, and IoT perception technology through various forms such as special reports, technology exhibitions, and industry university research discussions, significantly promoting knowledge sharing, resource docking, and cross-border cooperation.
